Georgina Rose Shire BA (hons), a University of Brighton graduate, now works as a freelance craftswoman in a range of trades from Furniture Restoration to Shoemaking to Props. Her current passion is for natural forms and she is particularly enthused by bird life. Her work celebrates ornament by experimenting with layers and colours in plywood and are brought to life with an illustrative free hand routing technique. The resulting adorned objects touch on both functionality and frivolity. Georgina will also be showing works in metal such her Magpie Eye – Bird Banquet.
